The idea for Future Tech is to create it as a playable faction, but completely unique from any other mod and unique in comparison to what we have seen Future tech have in the Uprising Expansion game, this means Future tech wont just have a full brand new army, but they will also have an entire collection of brand new structure's, upgrades, special powers and Commander Ai
Like the previous entries in the Red Alert series, the game is set in an alternate reality from World War II, in which the Western Allies fight the Soviet Union. In Red Alert 3 the Soviet leadership, facing defeat, goes back in time to kill Albert Einstein and prevent his assistance to the allies, paving the way for Soviet domination in the present. However, as an unintended consequence, a third world power, the Empire of the Rising Sun, is created and all three sides go to war. The three factions are playable, with the gameplay involving constructing building and factories, gathering resources and training armies to defeat other players. Each faction has a fully co-operative campaign, playable with either an artificial intelligence partner or with another player online. The game intersperses strategy missions with full motion video footage featuring an ensemble cast starring J. K. Simmons, Tim Curry and George Takei as the leaders of the three factions.

In the aftermath of Spore's SecuROM controversy, there was an outcry amongst some circles of customers who began threatening to boycott Red Alert 3 if this game was bundled with such digital rights management mechanisms as well. In response, EA announced that in Red Alert 3 the activation limit would be increased from 3 to 5 activations per machine. Red Alert 3 was first announced on 8 December 2004 by Mark Skaggs, the executive producer at the time.[1] While certain concept art was made in early 2005, the game did not enter a more serious development stage, as Electronic Arts Los Angeles was working on The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth series, and upper staff at Electronic Arts would only give a Red Alert 3 project nine months to finish, which Skaggs refused, after which he took a leave of absence that turned into a full departure from the company.[2]
The game's pre-production ultimately started some time in 2007, as evidenced by certain pieces of concept art. On 14 February 2008, labelled by the developers as "Red Thursday", and after the success of Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, executive producer Chris Corry announced the development of Red Alert 3 in a special report edition of Battlecast Primetime, with the video ending up as a segment of the full Battlecast Primetime episode 6. A day later, information on redeeming beta keys received with copies of Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath was released.[3] Gaming magazine PC Guru was among the first to cover the story, [4] and already announced the Empire of the Rising Sun faction and that the expansion pack was already planned. Further gameplay-related information on the game was published by PC Gamer[5] and PC Gameplay[6], announcing 8 to 10 missions for each of the three campaigns, full-motion videos with a live cast and CGI, and the return of the IFV mechanic, among else.
During E3 2008, the Empire of the Rising Sun faction was revealed fully. In late July 2008, the official beta phase started, giving the first 2000 fans who redeemed the beta key from Kane's Wrath and select community leaders the opportunity to test the game in multiplayer and share feedback with the developers.[13] On 11 August 2008, UK game distributor GAME revealed the collector's edition of Red Alert 3, called the Premier Edition[14], with a trailer released ten days later. The full live action cast was revealed on 20 August 2008.[15][16]
The Australian EA site shows both Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 and Tiberium Sun being available for MAC and links to the Origin Site to purchase ( ) but when I get to the individual game page on Origin it shows as PC Download ( -au/store/buy/c-c-red-alert-3/pc-download/base-game/standard-edition)?
The EA site itself is just a catalog though, not an online store. The pages for these games say they are available for "PC Download" and "Mac". As you can also see, besides those, "PC" itself (without download) is mentioned separately, and the list does not include "Mac Download". This indicates the games were released for Mac, but there are no digital downloads for these versions.
Unfortunately, as soon as you begin a game in any format, those gorgeous high-definition graphics switch over to a Quicktime video rendered in full-screen at 320200. And it looks exactly like someone took a video clip and smeared Vaseline all over the lens.
